I both have over 25 years of experience working with children, families, and adults and am a parent. In my work with clients, I use a compassionate, practical, problem-solving approach, based on empirically sound cognitive-behavioral skills and strategies, as well as other therapy approaches tailored to the particular client or clients. My approach when working with children, adolescents and adults is a collaborative one, involving developing relationships both with her primary client or clients as well as with other relevant family members, other health care providers, and/or school personnel as indicated by the needs of the client. I am also committed to the "clients as consumers" model, providing clients with resources such as reading materials, websites, and other educational materials relevant to their needs.
I currently have offices in both Seattle and Vancouver, Washington. In Seattle, my office is centrally located in Madison Valley, just East of downtown Seattle and West of Madison Park. This location is easily accessed from throughout Seattle, as well as from cities on the Eastside, such as Bellevue and Kirkland. In Vancouver, my office is located in scenic and historic Fort Vancouver, readily accessible from I-5.
Therapy services provided may address problems such as: Adjustment problems (e.g., work, moves, divorce, death, illness), Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Couples & Family Issues, and Behavior problems in children.
Assessments provided for ADHD, Learning Disorders, Giftedness, & School Placement.
My practice includes billing insurance, and I am a preferred provider for Regence, Premera, and Uniform Medical Plans. Clients are encouraged to be active consumers and confirm coverage if they wish to use insurance for my services.
